Happy Friday! Mr. LMB here, we have another Farmhouse Friday Favorite for you, we are hoping you are enjoying them. LMB and I are trying to alter each week to bring you a guy and gal post of favorite items… And here is my pick for this week.
Banana Republic Modern Flight Bomber Jacket [Here]
Last week we went to Indianapolis to meet up with one of our best friends, RachLovesTroy, and one of the days we popped over to the mall when it was raining out. A sale sign drew us into Banana Republic and this jacket caught my eye, looks almost identical to my flight coat from the military but less fluffy, and more stylish. Only downside to this jack is LMB owns only (and I mean ONLY) green/olive jackets… So when I where this jacket it looks like we dress alike, oh well… I kinda like her. Side note we went to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum with our friends and their daughters…my goodness. I think they need to put accomplishing that place in one day just below a successful Mt. Everest summit, we were not prepared to say the least.
I have wanted to keep bee’s for many years, and now we have the space. Our good friend Abby from Binks and the Bad Housewife, surprised us with this book in the mail and we love it. It has not only the how-to’s but the history and thought process of the bee’s and keeping them happy. The artwork is very cool too, so if your not in the market for keeping bee’s still a very cool book to have out for decor and its a good read. We loved it so much, I paid it forward and bought my father-in-law the book because he’s joining us on this new journey of beekeeping at the farm.
Lush – Kalamazoo Beard and Face Wash [Here] | Damn Handsome Grooming Co. – Beard Balm [Here]
Being a bearded fellow now, I have learned its not as easy as it looks. If you don’t want it to itch the heck and are looking for the soft bellow under your chin you need to respect the beard. These two items I have thrown into my routine and it’ll be tough to find something else to replace them. Coincidentally Damn Handsome Grooming Co. works out of Kalamazoo Michigan, no secret we love local.
That it for this edition of Farmhouse Friday Favorites, I hope you enjoyed. Don’t forget to put your name in the running for the Ryobi Power Tools giveaway, click here for more information. Have a great weekend.
“Mr. LBD”, I am a lady and I love your thoughts!!
Especially, THE BEEKEEPERS BIBLE!!! Thank you for sharing, and you and Liz’ friend for gifting!!
I love so many things about this!! That it is a BOOK!, about HONEY BEES!, and the cover ART!, makes it so INTRIGUING!
I too have wanted to be a 🐝BEEKEEP!, for years (actually decades)
One of my favorites which you may want to acquire if you are a book lover is by Charles Micucci, it comes in paperback and hard back.
My purchase was
The Life and Times of the Honeybee
but there is also books named…
The Life and Times of ….
the APPLE
the PEANUT
the ANT
CORN
You may want to check these all out for the FARM!
I think you will find them not only informational for you as an adult, but also when you have “overall clad babies” in-tow, running around that FARM of Yours!
I know that is in the future… I have no doubt it will be both you and Liz’ future! Jose, I know y’all have had a rough start at that.
It is not for us to question God. But to SEEK HIS WILL and PREPARE TO BE BLESSED, BY HIM, IN HIS TIMING, not our own. I think you and Liz are doing that and I just know you will have a HOUSE FULL… one way or another…
May God Bless You both for your testimony. You are both such a strong and sweet couple! I pray one day to make it up North to visit your store and perhaps your FARM, to try purchase some HONEY and FRESH FARM GROWN FRUITS and PRODUCE!!
I am a Jesus Loving Georgia Girl, a US Marine Mom, Mother of 3 sons, and A Dreamer, but praying to make some reality, soon!!
