Christmas week on the Farm and Vlog #3

Exhale.

The season has come and gone, and my goodness what a ride. We over ate, over shopped, and a few days… overslept. The farm saw 8 rounds of Home Alone and maybe 6 of Home Alone 2, the hardest part of the holiday is trying not to quote your favorite holiday movies. This past week was a very much needed refresh… we blew through 6 family Christmas parties, connecting with family both distant and close. In our extra time away from work LMB and I took advantage of as many moments to cherish sometime together, deliberately. It’s too typical that we run around clueless of our actions during the holidays, maintaining the Christmas shopping list for the family and friends, or squeezing in a few extra “Z’s” when we can. This holiday season, given our busy schedule this year, we made deliberate plans to spend time together away from the Holiday shopping lines or amazon links. We slept in, laid in bed and watched movies, and even hit up some of our favorite deli’s and antique shops. Spent some time with our animals here on there farm…

We then realized, we shouldn’t force this upon ourselves simply because of the season we are in we should continue to be deliberate with planning time together, and we aren’t talking about stopping for dinner because we are running an errand near a restaurant we like. We are talking about, purposefully scheduling a date or waking up just to stain in bed or drink coffee together. With that we push that to you… Refill yourself with time. Time with friends and time with family… give yourself a chance to appreciate your time away from the hustle and bustle, and again be deliberate (hmm… put that as a contender for a word of 2018) and please, enjoy this weeks Vlog.
